National association — constituted 3 March 2023
Ten regions, one voice for private higher education
ANIPES was constituted on 3 March 2023 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé, born of the union of ACIPES, AFIPES, ANOWEPHEI and SWAPHEI. It carries the voice of Cameroon’s Private Higher Education Institutions wherever that voice is needed.

Mandate and objectives
120 promoters of private higher education institutions and their representatives, from all 10 regions of Cameroon, gathered on 3 March 2023 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé. Under the auspices of the Minister of State for Higher Education, they enacted the 22 September 2022 resolution of the presidents of ACIPES, AFIPES, GAPHIC and ANOWEPHEI, sealing the creation of a single federating national organisation.
While ACIPES and AFIPES merged fully into ANIPES, SWAPHEI and ANOWEPHEI continue to operate under their own identity and founding structure, in line with the special status of the English-speaking regions.
